Since I can remember I’ve had pain during sex. I thought that it could be a serious medical condition to do with me. I also had trouble during my pregnancies so I related it to the pain during sex. In 1994, I had to have a complete hysterectomy at the age of 29. The doctors told me that the hysterectomy took care of the ovaries and uterus, but the pain was still there like before and still there during sex. I thought that it was due to me and my performance. In the year of 2006 at the age of 40, I had come to see Dr. Wasudev for acid reflux and gallbladder. He decided to do an upper and lower scope. He discovered that my gallbladder needed to be removed immediately! Then he did an exam on me for gallbladder pain. The answers I gave him sounded like lower pelvic pain that could be cured by POPSS injections. That is when Dr. Wasudev informed me of POPSS injections. Nothing else helped me, so I decided to try them. I wanted to let my OBGYN know about what POPSS was. I reminded her about the painful sex life I had. She suggested that it was probably caused by a low bladder or the ligaments from the hysterectomy. At that time, I realized that it did not matter what position I was in. It just hurt badly. So, I called, made an appointment, and got my first series of POPSS injections. After the first shot, it still hurt. By the second POPSS injection, the pain was minimal; by the third injection, the pain (on a scale of 1-100) was 90% gone. I was very pleased with the injections. If you have unexplained pain, I would highly recommend Dr. Wasudev. I started physical therapy and so far I am no longer experiencing pain during sex. I feel better and I feel reenergized. I am interested in intimacy again at the age of 40! Dr. Wasudev has helped me immensely. I suggest him to any one who is experiencing pelvic, lower back, and pain during sex! Even if you are not sure, just let him do an exam and he will let you know!!!
Thank you Dr. Wasudev for all you have done for me!!!!!!”

I found out that I had tendonitis, so I went to see Dr. Wasudev for a check-up. He did a full body exam and came to the conclusion that I needed steroid injections (Known as POPSS injections). I had tendonitis in my lower back and chest. I figured that it was because of my scoliosis and did not even think about tendonitis.
Dr. Wasudev told me the symptoms of tendonitis and we decided that was what had been hurting me! I was a silent sufferer for about 15 years and yes I had experienced pain during sex. A woman will be silent about something like that because it can be embarrassing. It’s funny how someone like Bob Dole can mention on TV about Viagra and still to this day women are still silently suffering! He came out with that 8 years ago and today we still hurt during sex or playing with kids and they can’t cure it like Dr. Wasudev. What we need is more doctors doing studies on things like him. When I got my 1st set of injections, I still hurt. When I got around to my 2nd set of injections I was already pain free!!
Thanks to doctors like Dr. Wasudev, we women have a fighting chance. Tendonitis does not have to control your life, there is treatment out there that really works. We just need more doctors like Dr. Wasudev to study up on this and take care of us ladies. Dr. Wasudev is awesome, caring, and very intelligent.
I personally would like to thank him for giving my life back!!!

To whom it may concern:
I wanted to take this opportunity to share my positive experience from the steroid injections I receivedin the office of Pramond Wasudev M.D. six months ago.
Since the three series of injections, I’ve been mostly pain free in the pelvic area. Pain-free from what was diagnosed as prostatitis for over 20 years. Over those years, I’d seen four primary care physicians and at least six urologists for the condition. All took the same course of treatment: Antibiotics. Each prescribed various types and lengths of treatment. I think I’ve tried every type that was even remotely known to get rid of prostatitis. At one point, I even took two types of antibiotics at once. Now, I do
believe at some points during the years I did have bacterial prostatitis. And, in no way I’m I complaining about the treatment I received. I believe each doctor did his best to help me.
But, even after long stints on antibiotics I wouldn’t be pain free. The pain would subside for periods only to come back. I would go through periods where I thought exercise helped and then I would come to believe exercise only made things worse. Most of all, I dreaded car rides and movies! Sitting for long periods caused mild discomfort at best, to pain that could only be quelled by a narcotic pain medication.
I was lucky that a hemorrhoid led me to meet Dr. Wasudev. I was referred to him by my primary care physician for a simple case of hemorrhoids. As Dr. Wasudev examined me I noticed he was asking a ton of questions. I thought this doctor is being really thorough about my hemorrhoids. But, in reality he was getting information about all the pain I was experiencing. And for that I’m now so thankful. After my examination, he explained how my “chronic prostatitis” could be caused by inflammation in the pelvic muscles. It really was a life-changing moment for me as he recommended the steroid injections.
I received the series of shots and have been amazed at the results. But, there is some anger from thinking why did it take over 20 years to find a doctor that even suggested something other than
prostatitis might be going on. That’s why this is the first results letter I’ve ever written for a doctor. I hope my words may find their way to some other men who have gone through a similar experience.
Even above that, I also hope news of this treatment of pelvic pain may find its way to urologists who see many men with my problem.

I first went to see Dr. Wasudev after years of chronic pain that included multiple bladder treatments and surgeries. My condition had also caused severe pelvic pain. Dr. Wasudev determined that I was a good candidate for POPS injections, which was a series of 3 treatments each two weeks apart. With the first set of injections, I was able to receive about 30% relieve from my pain; after second set, I received another 20%; and after the third, about 30% more. With the 3 sets of injections, this gave me about 80% relief. Though the pain was not completely gone, it was the first relieve of any sort I had for years and was so helpful. My health history is very complicated so having that relief was such a wonderful benefit.
In addition, he gave me several Platelet Rich Plasma injections. This first one helped a lot and the second one didn’t help as much though due to other health problems, it wasn’t clear as to the source of the pain I was having so the second set of injections may have actually helped me more than I was able to notice at the time.
I HIGHLY recommend the POPS procedure for anyone that has chronic bladder problems. Dr. Wasudev is truly one of the most caring and knowledgeable physicians I have seen (and I have been seen by VERY many doctors). Even when I was hospitalized for another matter, he took the time to call me to see how I was doing and if there was anything he could do including giving advice on my treatment. He is so good to call his patients back, taking a personal interests in his patients; not only for the treatment he provides but for their entire well being. If you need assistance, he is the doctor to seek out. I will always be indebted to him for his treatment, his caring about me as an individual and his compassion for what I have been going through.

It all started when I had a problem with my sitting bone. I of course went to my primary doctor, I told her about my problem. She immediately started running tests and she never found the source of my pain. I let her know that I had been going through this pain for almost 14 years. I even went as far as seeing several different doctors. Still no one could explain the reason I was in so much pain and why it was in the groin, pelvic and sitting bone areas.
These doctors had been prescribing me meds ranging from antibiotics and pain relievers including narcotics’ that also began taking a “toll” on me. I noticed that these meds was not helping with the pain. I began to notice that it seemed worse after a menstrual period. I let my primary doctor know about the pain getting worse. We then decided to run a few more tests. I was pretty much fed up with the tests and meds, when my doctor introduced me to Dr. Wasudev. I decided to give it one more try. I set the appointment to go to see him. When I went to his office, he did a full pelvic exam on me and he also did the body exam on me. It was then he told me that I had been experiencing lower pelvic pain, groin pain and tendinitis of both adductor tendons. Dr. Wasudev told me that I needed to start steroid injections, (known as popss injections).
After the first shot I still had strong pain in those areas. After the second set of popss injections, the pain was minimal. When I finally received my third set of injections, I was pain free. I am now so thankful that my primary doctor had faith in Dr. Wasudev’s studies and decided to refer me to him. I believe that I would still be in pain if it wasn’t for Dr. Wasudev. He is a wonderful doctor; he did not use big words that I did not understand. He treated me like a person with a problem and not a patient with a complaint. I want to let everyone with these similar problems know that there is relief, and just be patient. If you have pain during sex or just while doing every day chores or just playing with your kids. Just call your primary care doctor and let them refer you to Dr. Wasudev and just get the exams that he performs on you and he will for sure let you know if you need popss injections.
Thank you Dr. Wasudev, you are a true lifesaver, I appreciate you taking time out of your life to help people like me.

Terri Glaeser of Goodlettsville, shown here with her African grey parrot, says women who have pain during sex should know that it’s not normal and that treatment is available. She underwent two sets of injections with a steroid and a local anesthetic six years ago, and hasn’t had any pain since.”
“In March of 2008, I noticed that I was experiencing sharp (knife stabbing) like pains in my lower left abdomen area. Eventually the pain spread across the stomach to the right abdomen area then around to my back. I experienced this pain for 6 weeks. In this period I went to a total of 4 doctors to try to determine what this pain was caused by! Then my primary doctor referred me to Dr. Helou, he ran several ultrasounds on me, when they all came back negative he decided that maybe I needed to see Dr. Wasudev. I did see him and after he did a full examination on me, he came to the conclusion that I need pops injections. I under went 3-injections from the beginning of April. With the first injection still felt a lot of pain, with the 2nd injection I felt minimal pain, But with the 3rd injections. I was “PAIN FREE” I feel great with the pops injections out come! In fact I feel so good with the out come that I would recommend (highly) to any one who has lower pelvic, back, and abdominal pain to give pops injections a try. You will be very pleased with the injections. If you have pain that you or your doctors can’t seem to help or even find out what it is causing the pain. You should just get the exam and see if that could be caused by tendonitis.”
I was experiencing some pain, so it was decided that I had to get a total hysterectomy. I went through my surgery and still noticed that I had a lot of the same pain.
I let my OB/GYN know and he stated that it was post-op pain from the total hysterectomy. I figured that I would wait to see if it eased. I went back for a check up from the surgery and when I was getting the examination, I noticed that the pain was almost unbearable. Then I knew that something was not right with my body. I would ask my doctors what was the matter with me and no one could give me an explanation as to why I was experiencing this pain except, that it was from adhesions (healing of the body). I gave it some time to heal but it was getting unbearable.
The pain was taking a toll on me, my personal life, my social life and my daily activities. Just when I began to get very aggravated with myself and the pain, I ran across Dr. Wasudev on a professional level, he told me what he could do and just to reassure me, he spoke to a patient that had the same symptoms as I was experiencing and this patient told me about Dr. Wasudev and what he was doing to help people with the pain. I went to see him and he performed a full examination on me, he found every painful spot and came to the conclusion that I had tendonitis.
I was experiencing pain in both lower quadrants; severe pain in my left groin, and dyspareunia for at least 6 to 8 months. He had asked me if the pain got worse with physical activities, and yes it did. I decided to go through with the injections that he had explained would help me. He informed me that I would have 3 sets of steroid injections also known as (POPSS Injections). I proceeded with the first injections and the pain was not completely gone, but I did notice a difference like it had eased some. I went back for my second set of injections, and during those injections I could feel that he was hitting the exact spots because I almost came off the table.
I had realized that the pain was about 60 to 70% gone. I felt so relieved that something was finally going to help me. When I had my 3rd set of injections, I was pain free and even the dyspareunia improved. I was so relieved that someone understood me and what I was going through. Dr. Wasudev is a life saver and he has helped me in many ways. I respect him for being so compassionate and caring towards his patients. I believe that if it was not for him, I would still be going through all of the pain.
Dr. Wasudev is a very personal man and he really understands his patients. When I began seeing him, I felt like I was not just another patient, I was like his daughter. He showed me respect and reassurance that there is someone out there who cares and will not make you feel like you are crazy, like it’s all in your head. I felt so imprisoned by the pain and I could not even get out and do yard work or even my activities of daily living. I would like to let Dr. Wasudev know that he has changed my life and I respect him for that. If I ever have pain I will not think twice about going to Dr. Wasudev.
Thank you so very much!

I have suffered from groin and pelvic pain for almost 5 years. I had noticed the pain getting worse around the same time as a slumber and swim party. I had noticed that I was having a lot of pain. I just started my cycle and I had went to the ladies room and it was so bad that my mom had to come help me but even then the pain was so bad that she could not help me!
I have been to 4 doctors and everyone tried to diagnose and treat me for a bladder and yeast infection. When the doctors could not help me with the pain, I went to see my OBGYN. They could not help either, so they referred me to a
doctor. The doctor had diagnosed me with Vulvar Vestibulitis .
A surgeon performed the surgery on me around a year ago. The recovery process took about 2 months. My pain returned and was so bad that I had to quit all of my extra curricular activities, which had me bedridden. I went to a psychiatric clinic and they helped me with the pain but it was not for a cure, it was by giving me pain meds.
When I finished I went to Michigan to seek help. The specialist in Michigan could not do anything for me. He let me know that I had one of the worst pelvic pain cases that he had seen. I had also been two more times after that visit and still they could not help me with the pain or help me understand what was wrong with me. When you go day to day with nothing but pain, it messes with your mind and sometimes you start to have dark thoughts.
It had got to the point I was asking to be paralyzed from my waist down (nerve blocks). I have also been to South Carolina trying to find someone to help me with all of this pain that I was experiencing. Those doctors had diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis. I came back to my regular doctor and that is when she referred me to Dr. Wasudev.
My first visit he performed an exam on me which led him to believe I had severe pelvic pain also known as tendonitis. He also asked me a series of questions and he let me have a booklet and paper work on my condition. Dr. Wasudev told me about a series of steroid injections that would help me, known as (POPSS injections). He told me that I would have 3 sets of injections two weeks apart. I decided to try them. After my 1st set I felt horrible pain. Then I had my 2nd set and th(at) felt worse than the pain before I had ever had any shots, then about 4 days before my 3rd set, I amazingly felt good and almost pain free for the first
time in a long time (it felt great. By the 3rd set afterword’s I was pain free.
I am enjoying school again, after I had missed a whole year. This summer I am starting back at my Karate school and playing special needs basketball. By this time next year I would like to start special needs cheer leading. I have also attended my psychological counseling which has helped me a lot. No more pain, no more dark thoughts, and no more searching for relief. I would like to say thank you so much to Dr. Wasudev. He has helped an 18 year old be a woman instead of a patient with pain and problems.
